I made an agreement to repay my overpayment in instalments but the Penalty letter stated the fine had to be repaid within 30 days, I called to advise I couldn't do that & was told someone would ring to discuss it - I'm still waiting for the call but in the meantime I am making weekly payments for the fine.

I have an over payment of 9 grand they take it straight off my tax credits at 1000 a year, this takes me up to my youngest being 16 when i may stop getting it if he leaves school then,i don't see the money and have budgeted not having it.

We have some CAB advisers here at Netmums and I hope you don't mind if I ask them to come along and post their support.

at my wits end, husband still had letters coming to my address as he was staying at dif places.....know what to do ...help please Hiya, Im in the same position as you.

My and my ex are on good terms and still have the joint bank account as we had an agreement for him to pay the bills, he has no fixed address as he stayed in different peoples houses.

There is also the organisation tax credit casualties who you may find useful.

Sorry not to be able to help further but this is one of those times where you need face to face support and and the adviser needs to be able to ask lots of questions.
